2024 International Tea Day at Tourism College of Zhejiang

International Tea Day, which is celebrated on May 21 every year, is a festival celebrating the economic, social and cultural value of tea, and is also the first international festival in the agricultural field successfully promoted by tea-producing countries mainly in China.

On this year’s International Tea Day, Tourism College of Zhejiang organized a unique national tea drinking activity with the theme of “Gathering for Tea and Sharing Good Tea”. This activity aims to show the characteristics and connotation of Chinese tea culture through the display, tasting and experience of traditional non-heritage tea and modern innovative tea, as well as the Song Yun Yaji and other forms.

Teachers and students were taken through the unique charm of non-heritage teas by brewing and tasting six non-heritage teas, namely Dahongpao, Keemun Hongcha, Xihu Longjing, Shoumei, Junshan Silver Needle and Liu Bao Tea.

The event also showcased six newly developed new blends of Cucumber Longjing, Pomelo See, Xiao Mei Hao, Oolong Drunken Drink, Malted Matcha, and Longjing Cow’s Milk. The fusion of tea with other ingredients in the form of tea fruits, tea curry, tea milk and tea wine brought a new tea culture experience to participants.
