On June 16, Hubei University 2024 “Youth Flies, Dream Sets Sail” Graduation Rainbow Run was held, Xie Hongxing, Secretary of the Party Committee of the University, Liu Jianping, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the University, and Ke Tao, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the University, ran passionately with the graduates of the Class of 2024 together.
At 8:30 a.m., the red flag was fluttering in the No.2 Stadium, and the graduates from all colleges had finished assembling one after another, and everyone’s face was full of anticipation and excitement. There were wonderful dragon and lion dances, cheerleading performances and warm-up drills, which were full of youthful vigor.
Accompanied by cheers and shouts, the school leaders led the team to start running, followed by the graduates of the college as a unit. Through the school gate, teaching buildings, college buildings, and finally arrived at the library before the search for the square, participants need to complete about 1.5 kilometers long run around the school. Throwing colorful powder, shuttling the bubble sea, breaking through the small games, water gun battle, group photo …… everyone in this colorful runway, releasing the youthful vitality and enthusiasm.
The 2024 undergraduate digital media art graduates Li Suhui said that the rainbow run is particularly atmospheric, and when I heard the volunteers along the road shouting “Happy Graduation”, my heart felt reluctant to part with my alma mater.
“The small activities of each college are very interesting, and this event will become a precious memory for graduates.” Weila, an international student of the 2024 Master of Arts in Subject Teaching (English) program, said excitedly.
It is reported that this event is organized by the Department of Student Work and hosted by the College of Physical Education. Since 2017, the Graduation Rainbow Run has been held for many years, becoming a distinctive business card in the school’s graduation season activities.
