Recently, the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Science and Technology issued the fourth batch of “Jiangsu Foreign Expert Studio” approval notice. Four foreign expert studios declared by the College of Aerospace Engineering, the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, and the College of Economics and Management of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics were successfully approved. The number ranks second in Jiangsu Province.

The foreign expert studio established by the College of Aerospace Engineering and the Korea Academy of Science and Technology mainly cooperates in the design of new types of smart damping materials to achieve vibration and noise reduction without changing the original engine structure or adding auxiliary equipment. It promotes the cultivation of innovative talents in NUAA.

The College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and Kiel University in Germany establish a foreign expert studio in the field of bionic science and engineering research. Since 2004, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics and Kiel University have established a sports reaction force test system and a neurophysiology laboratory, developed a multi-dimensional force sensor, and made a three-dimensional sports reaction force and behavior test system. The system won a gold award at the Geneva International Invention Fair in 2011, and also won the Polish government award.

Besides, the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and the University of Edinburgh establish a foreign expert studio, which mainly conducts cooperative research in the field of intelligent monitoring. The College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering has introduced the cutting-edge algorithm of the University of Edinburgh in the field of intelligent detection and completed the gesture recognition and detection, which can be applied to the development of UAV control bracelet.

The foreign expert studio, established by the College of Economics and Management and the Memorial University of Newfoundland, focuses on research in the fields of labor economics, human resource management, compensation, and benefits. Memorial University of Newfoundland and NUAA jointly research cutting-edge topics and have long-term international cooperation with NUAA in terms of talent training and academic exchanges, which enhances the international influence of NUAA.
