Due to the epidemic, our university has been conducting online teaching for 4 weeks. Foreign teachers at our university cannot return to school on time, but they overcome difficulties and actively use the Internet for online teaching.
Rafael Rivera in Online Class
Paul Kearney, our specially-appointed professor, is in Europe. After the outbreak of the coronavirus, he sent WeChat and recorded short videos as a blessing to all the teachers and students. He used the winter vacation to improve the teaching content and supporting materials that can be used for spring semester.
American teachers Rafael Rivera and Jay Belmonarch undertake English teaching courses this semester; Japanese teachers Sugawara Kumihino and Minamoto undertake Japanese courses this semester; French teachers Damien Saurety and Aurelie Sauquet undertake French courses. Although they are in a foreign country, with the support of the College of Foreign Languages and the help of co-teachers, they overcome difficulties such as time difference, Internet speed etc. According to the plan, foreign teachers will remain teaching online until further notice. They are expected to return to the classroom for normal teaching after the epidemic is over and after the students come back to the school.
