CIPTC Foreign Teachers’ Spring Cultural Trip

Spring begins, all things welcome the New Year. With both their hearts and minds full of spring feelings, on February 3rd, 2021, the foreign teachers of CIPTC embarked on a Hakka cultural experience.

Journey at the beginning of Spring

Mr. Liang, China (Shenzhen) International Personnel Training Centre’s Director, expounds on the origin of Li Chun, which marks the beginning of spring on the Lunar Calendar. Thus, participants deepened their understanding of traditional Chinese culture.

In the morning, CIPTC teachers toured one of Shenzhen’s best preserved ancient Hakka round house villages, Dawanshiju, which was built during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty in 1763.

CIPTC teachers visited Shenzhen (Pingshan) International Illustrations Exhibition. Teachers not only experienced the contrast between ancient and modern design, but also the contrast between China and the West.

Spring breeze floats over Ma Luan Mountain

In the afternoon, deputy director of China (Shenzhen) International Personnel Training Centre Mr. Yu and CIPTC foreign teachers visited Gankeng Hakka Town, which is one of the top 10 ancient villages in Shenzhen. They enjoyed the architecture of Hakka houses, appreciated Hakka folk art, and tasted Hakka traditional cuisine.

Good times are always short. CIPTC teachers experienced traditional Hakka culture and deepened their understanding of traditional Chinese culture. We’re looking forward to our next adventure!
