On Jan. 26th 2019, Jessica from Wuchang Primary School, Mary from Hangzhou Normal University and Kevin from Jingyuan Primary School joined our 2019 January tour; all of them are first time working and living in Hangzhou.
–“Jessica is from UK; she is currently teaching grade 1 students at Wuchang Primary School;
Mary is from Michigan; she is currently teaching English and Debate at Hangzhou Normal University;
Kevin Branton is from Oregon; he is currently teaching grade 3 and 4 students at Jingyuan Primary School”
Throughout the day, we tried well-known Hangzhou dishes at the snack bar Haozhekou, the century-old Hangzhou Restaurant and Yao Bude Gaozu Shenjian. We visited landmark architecture Urban Balcony to get a feel of the marvelous Qiantang River, and stopped by at Hangzhou Urban Planning Exhibition Hall to see the future plan of information technology development for Hangzhou city. Southern Song Dynasty Imperial Street is one of the top places to go to in Hangzhou. Dazzling lights from all types of shops along the street against ancient architecture showed the perfect combination of the present and the past.
