On the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day, the International Office Exchange and Cooperation Office of Guangdong Peizheng College organized a tea party for foreign teachers to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival and the National Day. Leaders and guests attending the event were: President Huang Wei, Secretary of the Party Committee Wu Dianli, Director of the Party Committee Office Wu Wanming, Dean of the School of Foreign Languages Zhan Xiuqin, Vice Dean of the School of Foreign Languages Teng Zhihong, Vice Dean of the School of Art Yuan Xijia, and 15 foreign teachers.
At the beginning of the activity, President Huang Wei welcomes the foreign teachers in the school on behalf of our school and handed out holiday packages. Wu Lian sent a holiday greeting. Next, President Huang Wei delivered an important speech. He said that the school attaches great importance to the construction of the foreign teacher team of our school, and will continue to strengthen the curriculum education of foreign languages and foreign cultures in the future. The school want to introduce more outstanding foreign talents for the school’s various disciplines and further strengthen the exchange between Chinese and foreign cultures.
At the same time, he expressed his gratitude to the foreign teachers in school for their support and cooperation with the Chinese government and the epidemic prevention policies and measures adopted by our school, consciously abide by Chinese laws and regulations, and work together to defeat the epidemic as the world is hit by the epidemic. Subsequently, the leaders of the front-line department of our school’s foreign teaching work made a speech and introduced the relevant situation of foreign teachers’ work. The foreign teachers present also talked about their work and life in Peizheng, and actively provided suggestions for the development of the school. At the end of the event, the participants made Mid-Autumn Festival lanterns together, which not only experienced the beauty of Chinese traditional culture, but also enhanced emotional exchanges.
Our school “Celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival and Welcome National Day” foreign teachers’ tea party has been successfully held twice. The significance of this activity is to build a direct dialogue platform for school leaders, Chinese teachers and students, and foreign teachers, and strengthen the sense of belonging of foreign teachers to our school. At the same time, it also takes this opportunity to let foreign teachers experience the charm of Chinese excellent traditional culture. Foreign teachers far away from their hometowns can also feel the warmth of home in Peizheng, enhancing the cohesion and centripetal force of the teaching team.
酷暑已逝，秋意渐浓。值中秋国庆双节来临之际，我校国际处交流与合作暨港澳台事务办公室组织举办了“庆中秋迎国庆”外教茶话会活动。出席活动的领导及来宾有：校长黄崴、党委书记武电平、党委办公室主任吴万明、外国语学院院长战秀琴、外国语学院副院长腾智红、艺术学院副院长袁希佳以及15名在校外籍教师。
活动开始由黄崴校长代表我校慰问在校外籍教师并发放节日礼包，学校党委书记武电平送上节日祝福。接下来，黄崴校长发表了重要讲话。他表示，学校很重视我校外籍教师团队建设，日后会继续加强外语和外国文化的课程教育，为学校各学科专业建设引进更多优秀的外籍人才，进一步加强中外文化间的交流。同时，他表示在世界受到疫情冲击的情况下，感谢在校外籍教师一直以来支持与配合中国政府以及我校采取的防疫政策措施，自觉遵守中国的法律法规，齐心协力共同战胜疫情。随后，我校外教工作一线部门的领导进行发言并介绍了外教工作的相关情况，在座外教也畅谈了在培正的工作生活，并为学校的发展积极建言献策。活动的最后，与会人员一起制作了中秋节灯笼，既感受了中华传统文化之美，又增进了感情交流。
我校“庆中秋迎国庆”外教茶话会已成功举办了两届。这一活动意义在于搭建了学校领导、中籍师生员工和外籍教师的直接对话平台，增强了外籍教师对我校的归属感，同时也借此机会让外籍教师体验中华优秀传统文化魅力，让远离家乡的外籍教师们在培正也可以感受到家一般的温暖，提升教师队伍的凝聚力和向心力。
