Introduction to No. 3 High School of Nanchang
No. 3 High School of Nanchang (website: http://www.jxncsz.cn/) is the first batch of Provincial Level Key High School in Jiangxi Province. The school has always adhered to the spirit of “diligence, simplicity, loyalty and courage” and has cultivated a large number of outstanding talents for the nation. At the same time, No. 3 High School of Nanchang serves to bring Nanchang Education outside of China. The school has established friendly exchanges with more than 10 countries including the United States and Germany.
No. 3 High School of Nanchang is a century-old old school and it was founded in 1902, formerly known as“Fu Li Hongdu Academy” and renamed in 1953 as Nanchang No. 3 High School. After 113 years of development, the school has formed a junior high school, two divisions, eight campuses, and a large education network. The school also has been at the forefront of the new educational reform process.
The International Department (website: http://gjb.jxncsz.cn) was established in 2013. It is a publicly run Sino-foreign cooperative high school education project that is approved by the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Education. It is dedicated to cultivate talents with Chinese sentiment and international vision. It is suitable for students with strong English language skills, excellent cultural achievements, independence, andare determined to study abroad. It offers the American High School curriculum, AP Course and GAC Course.
Nanchang (Panorama) is the capital of Jiangxi Province in southeastern China. Nanchang cuisine belongs to Jiangxi cuisine, characterized by crisp, fresh, spicy and salty taste. Local vegetables appear in almost every dish with the use of wild flowers also common, like the rest place of south China, rice is staple with pork usually substituting beef as the main meat used, and chicken is also widely used. Nanchang is famous for its food, spice is added to most dishes and frying is main form of cooking.
Nanchang has a monsoon-influenced humid subtropical climate with four distinct seasons. Winters are short and cool with occasional frosts; it begins somewhat sunny and dry but becomes progressively wetter and more overcast. Spring begins especially gloomy, and from April to June, each month has more than 220 mm (8.7 in) of rainfall. Summer is long and humid, with amongst the highest temperatures of any Chinese provincial capital, and with the sun shining close to 60 percent of the time in July and August, is the sunniest time of year. Autumn is warm to mild with the lowest rainfall levels of the year. The monthly 24-hour average temperature ranges from 5.5 °C (41.9 °F) in January to 29.5 °C (85.1 °F) in July, while the annual mean is 18.00 °C (64.4 °F).
