Introduction to Pengbo Primary School

Affiliated Primary School of Jianggan District Education Development Research Institute (website: hzpbxx.jgedu.net.cn) or Pengbo Primary School (formerly Pengzhou No. 2 Primary School in Hangzhou) was founded in 1910, and was the first primary school of the Qiantang Zone. In the spring of 2015, the school moved into the new campus of the Puxin Community in Penglai Street with the new school name. The school currently has 36 classes, 1484 students and 82 staff members, 4 senior teachers in primary and secondary schools, 2 provincial excellent teachers, 4 teachers in Jianggan District, 4 class model teachers, and 45 outstanding teachers.

The school adheres to the philosophy of “for the healthy growth of every child” and gradually creates the “I can do” school culture. The school has won various awards including the National Youth Sports Medal, the National Campus Football League Championship (Hangzhou region), the Provincial Health Promotion School (silver award), the Provincial Reading Demonstration School, the City Urban and Rural Mutual Aid Community Advanced School, the City Football Project School etc.

About Hangzhou

If you are interested in opera, then you’ve come to the right place for there are lots of theaters in Hangzhou giving performance of opera shows!

Food

Hangzhou is a culinary paradise with a large number of delicious dishes. Hangzhou’s local cuisine enjoys a nation-wide reputation and dishes prepared in its style are reputed to be “fresh, tender, soft and smooth, with a mellow fragrance”. Some of the better-known examples of Hangzhou’s regional cuisine are: West Lake Fish in Sweet and Sour Sauce, Dongpo Pork, Beggar’s Chicken, Fried Shrimps with Longjing Tea, and Hangzhou Soy-sauce Duck. Sounds interesting? Behind these dishes, there always seems to be a beautiful story linked with a historical figure in Hangzhou. In addition to the traditional Hangzhou food or Chinese cuisine, plenty of restaurants offer south-eastern or western-style food. In Hangzhou, you never have to worry about going hungry.
