On the evening of May 26th, the opening ceremony of the International Culture Week (2016) were held in the Auditorium of the Student Art Center. School leaders Lu Chuanyi, Zhang Yusheng, Zou Guangde, Hu Xingyu, Liu Guohua, Michael Hannan, Dean of Academic Affairs and Vice President of Academic Affairs, University of Edinburgh, University of Missouri Choir Art Director Paul Kreb, well-known alumnus Zhang Yuanhui, Zibo Foreign Affairs Office Deputy Director Wang Jianzhong attended the opening ceremony.
Vice President Hu Xingyu delivered a speech. He briefly introduced the international exchanges and cooperation between the university and pointed out that this year’s International Cultural Week will focus on the theme of “experiencing exotic customs, deepening cultural exchanges, expanding international horizons, and enhancing the international soft power of campus”. Cultural activities provide a good platform for Chinese and foreign teachers and students to jointly experience the international atmosphere of the campus and provide a good opportunity to enhance understanding and deepen friendship. I hope that Chinese and foreign friends will actively participate in various cross-cultural exchange activities during the week, and fully appreciate the cultural exchanges.
