Introduction to Liuzhou City Vocational College
Liuzhou City Vocational College (LCVC) is a state-run vocational college which is approved by the Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and registered in Ministry of Education of China. LCVC, inheriting the accumulation as well as achievement of running the college for nearly 80 years, and relying on regional advantages as an important industrial city and logistics center of Guangxi, sets the project as the leading part and endeavors to train the skilled personnel of modern integrated high technology service class, so as to adapt to the urbanization process of regional economic and social development needs. LCVC is also committed to promote the development of internationalization and nationalization. LCVC strives to build itself into the vocational college that has the distinctive characteristics, ethnic heritage and innovative services, which is based on Liuzhou, embraces Guangxi, and has a radiation effect on the ASEAN.
By means of the advantage of educational resources in relevant automobile majors, LCVC made a tripartite cooperation with SAIC-GM-Wuling Automonile Co., Ltd., Indonesia to establish China-Indonesia SGMW Automobile Department in Liuzhou, and set up SGMW Automobile Education Training Center in Indonesia. This program can cultivate practical talents for the production base of SGMW in Indonesia. In September 2016, LCVC signed a cooperation agreement with Indonesia Pelita School to establish Pelita Branch of LCVC in Indonesia.
LCVC adheres to the characteristic of internationalization and becomes the first “Guangxi Chinese Language Education Base”. Over the years, LCVC actively makes cooperation with foreign unversities, colleges and instiutions, which have sent a lot of Chinese teachers to the oversea colleges and established friendly and cooperative relations with more than 30 colleges from the United States, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and other countries. LCVC recruits students around the world to learn Chinese, academic study, short-term skill training, and welcome the groups from all over the world to come to LCVC for visiting and cultural exchanges. Since 2004, LCVC has started to recruit international students for 13 years, now has students from more than 16 countries, such as, the United States, Russia, Britain, Belgium, South Korea, Indonesia, Thailand, Hungary, and Tajikistan. Right now, the number of international students has reached to 267.
The role of a Foreign Gerontology teacher is teach students which may include biophysical aspects of aging, social gerontology, or clinical gerontology. Responsibilities:Provide instruction to students as delineated by course curriculum. Participate in Methodist College’s general education assessment program. Evaluate student performance in accordance with the course requirements and provide appropriate feedback to students in a timely manner. You will have about 20 classes per week, each class for 45 minutes; there is no office hours required for this position.
1. a maximum of 28 classes per week, each class 45 minutes;
2. Teach Gerontology major classes
1. Fluent in English
2. Age under 60 according to the Chinese Work Visa Policy (Category B)
3. Have a degree of bachelor’s or above in Gerontology or majors related to Senior Care
4. Have at least two-years teaching experience
1. Base salary: RMB 5,000 /month, paid winter and summer vacation (for a total of 3 months)
2. Per-class salary: RMB 40/class. If you have 20 classes per week, the class salary will be 800 RMB/week.
3. 5,000 RMB flight allowance for one-way ticket
4. On campus accommodation provided for free
5. Insurance provided; RMB 300 meal and traffic stipend

Liuzhou, located in the northeast of the central Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and belonging to the northern edge of the subtropical zone, has long and hot summers while short but not cold winters here with plentiful rainfall, abundant sunlight and long frost-free period, as well as rich products, beautiful scenery and unique landscape as a multi-ethnic city while also a national famous historical and cultural city and a national sanitary city.
Liuzhou has an urban population of 1.9 million. Liuzhou is the largest industrial city in Guangxi. After decades of accumulation and development, Liuzhou’s industry has developed into a modern industrial system. Liuzhou river snails rice noodle which are renowned both at home and abroad.
