Introduction to Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine
Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (website) founded in 1958, is the only institution for higher learning in Liaoning Province to train and educate professionals in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Chinese Pharmacy, Acupuncture and Moxibustion, Chinese Massage, Integration of TCM and Western Medicine in Clinical Practice, Senior Nursing and other related disciplines. The university’s main campus is located in Shenyang, the capital of the Liaoning Province, with its branch campus in the seaside city – Dalian. The university has 5 disciplines of Medicine, Science, Engineering, Management and Arts, including 32 undergraduate majors (or orientation of majors). It has an enrollment of over 10,000 students. There are 15 faculties, 4 directly affiliated hospitals, 2 teaching departments, 2 experimental & teaching centers, 3 research institutes, 6 research divisions, 2 libraries and 1 museum in the university.
It has 1 state key discipline, 12 state key disciplines of TCM, 1 provincial key discipline (including 12 second-class disciplines), 3 upgrading scheme projects of the provincial-level, 1 top key discipline of the provincial-level, 1 advanced and specially featured key discipline of the provincial-level, 21 provincial key disciplines of TCM, 3 post-doctoral programs, 3 first-class disciplines authorized to grant doctorate degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Chinese Pharmacy and Integration of TCM and Western Medicine, 16 second-class disciplines authorized to grant doctorate degree, 3 first-class disciplines authorized to grant master degree and 18 second-class disciplines authorized to grant master degree.
There are 4 State-level featured majors, 1 innovative experimental zone for cultivating national talents, 1 State-level teaching team, 3 State-level classic courses, 4 State-level awards for teaching achievements, 6 provincial-level model (characteristic) majors, 3 provincial-level model centers for experimental teaching, 5 provincial-level teaching teams and 22 provincial-level classic courses. LNUTCM is the chief-editor institution for more than 30 national planned textbooks and 8 provincial classic textbooks. It is authorized to run 19 projects of basic labs or featured and priority labs which are sponsored by both the central and local governments. Job Description
The role of a Foreign English teacher is to help our students speak English and improve English practical skills. Those responsibilities include preparing lessons and lesson material, teaching young adult students, holding counseling sessions, assisting colleagues, maintaining records, writing progress reports, etc. You will have 16 classes per week, each class for 45 minutes; there is no office hours required for this position.
Salary and Benefits
1. Around 8,000 RMB per month, paid winter and summer vacation for about 3 months
2. RMB 2,000 for travel allowance
3. RMB 8,000 for air ticket
4. 12,000 for housing allowance per year
Job Requirement
1. Must have a bachelor’s degree
2. Must have two years of formal English teaching experience or with TEFL/TESOL/CELTA certificate
