Introduction to Mianyang Foreign Language School
Mianyang Foreign Language School (绵阳外国语学校, website), referred to as Mianwai for short, was founded in 1999 and has been running schools for 19 years. It is an international brand school integrating elementary school, junior high school and high school directly under the Mianyang Education and Sports Bureau.
The school occupies an area of 230 mu and has 161 teaching classes. There are 7796 students and 544 faculty members. Among full-time teachers, middle and senior teachers and special-grade teachers account for more than 60%. The school participated in the 12th college entrance examination and won the second place in the liberal arts of Sichuan Province, the second place in the science of Sichuan Province, the champion of the liberal arts in Mianyang City, and the champion of the science in Mianyang City. The school’s on-line rate of key universities has maintained a record of 76%, and has been stable at more than 50%.
The school founded the Mianyang Foreign Language School experimental school in 2010; formed an educational alliance with Liba County in Aba Prefecture in 2013 to help Yongchuan Middle School in Beichuan County; paired to help the provincial demonstration high school Mianyang Zitong Middle School in 2014 and successfully established Mianwai Kindergarten; 2015 In 2006, the counterpart aided the construction of Yucheng No. 2 Middle School in Yucheng District, Ya’an City, and helped Xichang No. 2 Middle School in Liangshan Prefecture.
