Ye Baiji, UK, English Teacher

Ye Baiji is a foreign teacher at the Little London English School in Hohhot. Ye Baiji’s mother is from Hong Kong, China, and his father is from Britain. He grew up in the UK. In 2010, Ye Baiji came to Hohhot and became a foreign teacher teaching Chinese children English.

“My mother is Chinese, so coming to China is as cordial as returning to my grandmother’s house. She has worked in Hohhot for 5 years.” Ye Baiji spoke to reporters in fluent Chinese. “The changes in Hohhot in recent years are very great. It’s more and more like an international metropolis. I remember when I first came, there was no Mall city or Carrefour. Now there are several business centers in Hohhot, and imported goods can be seen everywhere. The transportation in Hohhot has become more convenient.
