According to the state policy, Shaanxi University of Science and Technology move classes online to help stop the spread the of the coronavirus. Jason, one of the foreign faculty, used the new teaching mode together with other foreign teachers from the university.
After the class, Jason and Mike made positive comments on the first online teaching class. Michael said (translated): “This form of teaching is very efficient. Students can understand my class. They can also review the lesson and listen to their own pronunciation again to find out what was wrong. I like this innovative form of teaching. “
Jason said (translated): “Getting ready for online teaching in a short period of time is challenging for both teachers and students. I am glad that students have responded positively to this new teaching method. I am also very touched that the students still maintain a positive mood under such difficult circumstances. We will work together to face the epidemic with optimism. We look forward to seeing the end of the epidemic and hoping the new semester to begin soon. “

国际处的老师和外籍教师们积极探讨线上教学方式
不拘形式，确保教学质量好、效率高
3月2日，首次线上课程由4名外籍教师承担，他们分别来自美国、加拿大、波兰，其中两个老师在国外克服时差进行线上教学工作。北京时间8:00，外籍教师Jason和Michael准时坐在电脑前，面对手机直播镜头开始了第一次线上课程。在微信群中，学生们踊跃发言，积极回应，Michal通过语音加视频的方式进行着课程教学,而Jason尝试用视频加文字的方式为学生们授课。两个小时的线上课程结束后，外教们还为学生们布置了课后作业。

积极评价，线上教学效果佳
课后两位外教对于首次线上授课这种教学模式的尝试都做出了积极评价。Michal说：”这种形式的教学很高效，学生们对我的指令都能理解到位。学生还可以在课后复习课程和重听他们课上的发音，我要为这种创新的授课形式点个赞。”
Jason认为：“在短时间内做好准备进行高效且成功的线上教学对于教师和学生来说都是一个挑战，我很惊讶学生们对于这种新的教学方式反映十分积极。我也十分感动学生们在现在这样一种艰难的情况下还是保持着积极乐观的情绪。我们会共同努力，互相支持，乐观面对，永不放弃。”
结束了第一堂线上英语课后，学生们纷纷表示非常期待下一次课程。国际处也会在此次课程的基础上与外教共同讨论，制定更加完善的线上课程方案，提供必要的语言技术支持，为线上语言课程的顺利进行保驾护航。
