Introduction to Shenzhen Baoan High School
Shenzhen Baoan High School (深圳宝安中学, website) was originally Baoan Middle School, established in August 1984. It is the first batch of national model ordinary high schools in Guangdong Province. It is a qualified school recommended by Peking University under the “Real Name Recommendation System for Middle School Principals” (only three in Shenzhen). Modern Educational Technology Experimental School, National Moral Education Experimental School, National Youth Civilization and Etiquette Base, Guangdong Normal High School New Curriculum Experimental Sample School, Guangdong Shuxiang Campus, UNESCO Teacher Education Chair Joint School, Shenzhen Teacher Morality Advanced School, Shenzhen Civilized Unit.
Shenzhen Baoan High School covers a total area of 168,675 square meters, with a construction area of 136,662 square meters; it has complete education and teaching equipment and is first-class in China. There are 125 classes in junior, high school and foreign languages, with more than 6,500 students and 601 faculty members.
The school’s college entrance examination scores have steadily climbed high, ranking first among all high schools in Shenzhen. In the past ten years or so, the provincial and municipal total scores and subject champions have been almost every year, and a total of 26 provincial and municipal college entrance scores and subject champions have been trained. Since the new century, 47 outstanding students have passed Tsinghua University and Peking University. In the 2014 college entrance examination, Baoan Middle School created new brilliant achievements.
The school has young singers from famous art schools, conductors of future orchestras, and sports athletes who have appointments with Peking University; smart and studious champions of the college entrance examination, champions of the Olympic Games, and pilots who are aspiring in the blue sky. The discipline Olympics is at the forefront of the province. In recent years, 23 people have won the first prize in the national discipline Olympics. The student debate team won the championship of the Shenzhen Middle School Student TV Debate Competition. Students teamed up to participate in the Shenzhen Middle School Student Simulation United Nations Contest to win the championship runner-up.
